- Every Thursday from
3:00 to 4:00 pm.,
in SC 131. Students of all levels are welcome to attend.
Asian Studies and Chinese Minor -
It is now possible
to major
or minor in Asian
Studies with a concentration in Chinese. Starting Fall
1997, students are able to minor in Chinese language
and literature. Please contact the Chinese faculty
for more information.
Placement Exam - The
Chinese Placement exam is usually given once a semester. The next placement exam will be given on March 17, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in SCG032.
It would be best to confirm time and date by calling the FLL office or Chinese faculty
shortly before the exam.
Summer Study in China
- Beginning Summer 1998, Purdue students will be given an opportunity to study Chinese
language and special topics in China for six weeks. Students can earn Purdue credits
for their courses in Peking, China. For more information, please contact Professor
